I've wept endlessly since you left. But now I'm so happy to see you're still alive! This place, this "Castle of the Damned," what a repulsive name. And now, you are the Castle Master? I can't fathom it. Please leave this castle soon and come back to me. I'll be waiting...
—Letter from Fiana

Fiana (フィアナ?) is a character from Tecmo's Deception: Invitation to Darkness. She was the princess of the Angelio kingdom, and was engaged with the Prince of Zemekia.

History[]

The prince's brother, Yurias, loved her, and could not stand to lose her. When the prince was accused of killing his father, King Zemeris, he was apparently killed and Yurias became the new king, engaging Fiana in his brother's place. Fiana could not stand Yurias, and when she learned that her love was alive, she sent a message to him, and later went to the Castle of the Damned to stay with him, despite not liking the place.

In Chapter 8, Yurias ordered Wizbone to bring her back, but Zamur secretly ordered him to kill the princess if she refuses to willingly return. If the Castle Master is not able to defeat Wizbone within 2 minutes, he will find Fiana and kill her, affecting the game's ending. If she dies, the Castle Master can ask Astarte to revive her or leave her dead. If he chooses to revive her, Fiana can be transformed into a powerful monster named She Death.

In the best ending, she isn't killed and will ask her beloved to leave for a far away place so they can live happily and amend for his sins. In one of the bad endings, she will kill the Castle Master with a dagger due to his evil actions, and then kill herself.

Musical Theme[]

Fiana's theme is simply titled "Fiana". It is the 25th track on the game's soundtrack.
