Lyla (ライラ Raira?) is a female enemy in Deception IV: Blood Ties. A descendant of the Saints and has a piece of the Holy Verses.

Lyla is an Inquisitor dispatched by the Church of Decroya. Though a prim and respectable nun in day-to-day life, she becomes a different person on the battlefield, one who is determined to fight until all who oppose justice are dead. The beaming smile she produces when fighting scares enemies and allies alike.
Blood Ties description

Gunslingers like Lyla make formidable enemies. Each shot is fired quickly and is capable of knocking Laegrinna down if it hits. Avoid becoming a target by running around, moving behind environmental props, and using evasive abilities.

As a high-ranking member of the Church, Lyla is well-versed in restorative magic, making long-term battle strategies largely ineffective against her. Try to take her out with a single trap combo before she has a chance to heal herself.

Deception IV: Blood Ties

Lyla derived from the Arabic leila, meaning "night/dark beauty" or the Persian leila, meaning "dark-haired". Its use in England began with George Byon's poem "The Giaour" (1813).[1]

  • In Dead Or Alive 5: Last Round, Lisa Hamilton has a downloadable costume for Lyla's outfit.
